Why is REAL HIP-HOP “SERIOUS REVOLUTIONARY MUSIC”?
Because.. if not for the aforementioned Legendary Revolutionary “GOLDEN ERA” in Hip-Hop…none of this would hold precedence or substance because the “bar” and “tier” would not have been set!!! Think about it… if not for the “SERIOUSNESS” of our civil rights forefathers like MALCOLM X or HEWEY P. NEWTON, would we even have the freedom to speak on such idiotic nonsense and buffoonery? The Black Man is far more than a “Drug dealer” a “Pimp or Player” a “Thug” a “Coon” or a “Dancing Jiggabo”!!! That is why REAL HIP-HOP is not about that. Today, there are even more and more hard working Black People who go to work every day to provide for their families and are respectable upwardly mobile urban entrepreneurs that are sick and tired of the nonsense and blame REAL HIP-HOP! As an entertainer you put yourself in the position and in the spot light to make a difference! Do you have to be perfect? No. But at least show “some” respect for yourself and your culture!!! Art is art but come on!!! Contrary to what some may lead you to believe, fashion does not automatically make you hip-hop! Just like foolishly going to PRISON, dealing CRACK, KILLING your own kind and PIMPING women does NOT make you Hip-Hop! Because even though you can dress a monkey up... that doesn't make that monkey a man. Just like any boy can lay down and make a baby. But it take’s a MAN to be a FATHER!!!

This is what I've been trying to preach to these youngsters out here. They don't understand the fundemental foundation of hiphop! Alot of these "rappers" are just that..."rappers", not MCs. I know I don't have to explain the difference to you, but try explaining that to a knuckhead whose brain is filled with the Ying Yang Twins and Lil Wayne!
Being an artist myself, I try and teach these guys that hiphop is about longevity, endurance, creativity and imagination and the ability to push yourself. Not how much your watch cost, or how big your rims are or how much ice your chain got!
I've read all 4 parts of "What is real Hip-Hop" and all I can say, is that I'll steer as many people as I can to this blog, because you're one of the few that get it!
Keep spreading that word, and someday we'll be able to take the culture back!
