Their first CD entitled… Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers,has to be without a shadow of a doubt one of the worlds most “AMAZING” and “ULTIMATE GOLDEN GEM" Hip-Hop Classic EVER!!! Most “Street ni*%az” “only” like this album because of songs like C.R.E.A.M and METHOD MAN!!! Ni*%az like Meth’s style and all ni#@az LOVE money!!!infact The term C.R.E.A.M. iz now a commonly used term to describe the (Compressed silk cotton)But In retrospective the Wu are the “purest” group of “scientist” the world has ever seen!!! To merely call these 9(now 8) men “just” M.C.’s would be the ultimate insult!!! Yes…They started out as “just” M.C.’s but now they have evolved into a ”GOD LIKE” religion like status in “REAL” Hip-Hop.(especially in New York & Japan!!!) Most of them “ARE” 5%’s so I guess that the “GOD LIKE” status fits!!! There ascension maintained a steady pace, all the way up until WU-TANG FOREVER and their “ULTIMATE” video "TRIUMPH”!!! And Much like Flavor Flav from PUBLIC ENEMY, O.D.B’s unpredictability was so far out there that it was there ultimate foray out of the mainstream(4 now)LOL!!! Then “One” Day my boy comes into “WORK“..WITH THE WU-TANG SYMBOL TATTOOED DIRICTLY ON HIS FOREARM!!!LOL!!! Now that’s MAD LOVE DAWG!!! But yoa check it I’m CALLOUS man!!! And I have my “very own” symbol ”THE HAND WITH THE MEAN AZZ SMILEY FACE!!!” So Until I actually meet them and learn there various lessons and or become an actual member, I’m not going that far yet!!! LOL!!! Look at “The Game” he has “N.W.A.” Tattooed on his chest, but because of the “beef” between him & “50” he is branded for life and perhaps will never be able to work with Dre again. I give THE WU the unconditional, unwavering, universal “RESPECT” that they deserve and that’s that. Man this Real hip-hop folklore at it’s best yawl!!! FEEL ME?? The bottom line iz. I recieved a comment from my man Caesar Johnicvs a.k.a.3ed hoax saying that Boogie Down Productions "My Philosophy" was his personal favorite Greatest Hip-Hop video of all time! I concure that it was one of the greatest by far! Directed by the Great Fab 5 Freddy, Boggie Down Productions "My Philosophy" is bar none one of the Greatest Hip-Hop video's ever produced. KRS ONE is the very "HEART" of Hip-Hop and has been said to be "The Greatest onstage performer of all time!", "The Techa", and "Grand Freestyler" This video goes beyond what MTV or BET was playing at the time. Dropping knowledge back and forth left & right. The reason why I chose Wu-Tang-Triumph as my top video is because of the sheer verity and technological know-how of the entire ensemble of the Wu. All the Wu's various style's combined with cutting edge computer animation (at the time) is the reason Wu-Tang "Triumph" is considered to be my greatest Hip-Hop group's of all time. What is Real Hip-Hop part:1(THE POST MODERN ERA)
What is REAL HIP-HOP? We all know that the Hip-Hop culture is a state of mind.. including, rapping, scratching, break-dancing, graffiti, music, and fashion. The “culture” of Hip-Hop began in the late 70’s & early 80’s in New York City, evolving from street block parties where DJs would put on instrumentals and rappers would rap over them, challenging each other to see who was the best by either rocking the party, story telling, or battle rapping. Some say KOOL HERC,(Who most say is the rightful GODFATHER of Hip-Hop), GRANDMASTER FLASH and AFRIKA BAMBAATAA started it all, as “THE HOLY TRINITY” of Hip-Hop. Some say BDP vs. THE JUICE CREW started it all with Brooklyn vs. the South Bronx. But… it was in fact all of them INCLUDING other’s such as KOOL KEITH, THE SUGAR HILL GANG, KURTIS BLOW, RUN-DMC, WHODINI, U.T.F.O., L.L.COOL.J, KOOL MOE .D AND THE TRECHEROUS 3, and yes even THE FAT BOY’S who all subsequently started it all together, coming from this “generalized area” as they rapped and scratched about parting, having fun and what was happening on the streets of their neighborhoods and their lives.

REAL HIP-HOP from a true hip-hop purest perspective began intellectually, scientifically, and spiritually with the highest practitioner and forefather of “modern day” Hip-Hop thought, the 13th letter, the R, and the “true” God/Father of Hip-Hop, the one and the only...RAKIM. Where KOOL HERC, GRANDMASTER FLASH, AFRIKA BAMBAATAA, and others brought raw emotion and energy, RAKIM transcended the very definition of (not only) wordplay & metaphors, but also integrated science, supreme mathematics, 5% knowledge, 3 bar timing techniques, pyramid song formation, and complex non-linier thought, Other Conscience rappers at this time included KRS-1, PUBLIC ENEMY, X-CLAN, PARIS, POOR RIGHTEOUS TEACHERS, BIG DADDY KANE, A TRIBE CALLED QUEST, THE JUNGLE BROTHERS,QUEEN LATIFAH and a select few others of “true revolutionary spirit” who would then usher in what would come to be known as the Legendary Revolutionary “GOLDEN ERA” of Hip-Hop, around the late 80’s and early 90’s. Other ground-breaking contributors of substance & style in the “GOLDEN ERA” would include KOOL G. RAP and SLICK RICK(the original forefathers of street swagger), M.C. LYTE, ARESSETED DEVELOPMENT, DA LA SOUL,BLACK SHEEP, and DIGABLE PLANETS to name a few. This was Hip-Hop in it’s most serious and revolutionary phase. At this time Drug Dealing and Pimping(or being a Player) was GENERALLY shunned upon and treated as the low life lifestyle’s that they were and still are! Also those who attempted to “drop knowledge” without studying where shunned upon as well!

Today only a few “Conscience” M.C.’s carry on this tradition of revolutionary thought...Like WU-TANG CLAN, COMMON, TALIB KWELI, THE ROOTS, DEAD PREZ, MOS-DEF and NAS. Other M.C.‘s of the highest “metaphoric” caliber include RED MAN, METHOD MAN, BUSTA RHYMES, The still surviving Legendary L.L. COOL .J and perhaps 2 of the GREATEST scientific and battle M.C.‘s on the planet...CANIBUS and THE RZA. Hear in lies the RUB, At this level in the game of REAL HIP-HOP (not mainstream rap) unless you EVOLVE to understand complex scientist like the CANIBUS-MAN and THE ABBOT, it is suggested that you read no further, continue to listen to the radio and enjoy your MINDLESS COMMERCIAL RAP MUSIC ONLY! And furthermore.. You should refrain from the use of the term REAL HIP-HOP! Including term’s like “I AM HIP-HOP!” and the continued use of the ridiculous catch phrase “PLAYER HATER” all as an excuse to remain ignorant. Because REAL HIP-HOP is about REVOLUTION, DEEP THOUGHT, and SUBSTANCE! Not just simple street rhetoric, it’s all about pushing the envelope and the listener’s limits while breaking the hypothetical constructs and paradigm shifts of the mind in the form of science, metaphors, NEW complicated techniques, wordplay, deliverance, depth and of course at it’s highest levels the REVOLUTIONARY AGENDA! REAL HIP-HOP is what it was and still is at it’s peak “SERIOUS REVOLUTIONARY MUSIC!”

Why is REAL HIP-HOP “SERIOUS REVOLUTIONARY MUSIC”?
Because.. if not for the aforementioned Legendary Revolutionary “GOLDEN ERA” in Hip-Hop…none of this would hold precedence or substance because the “bar” and “tier” would not have been set!!! Think about it… if not for the “SERIOUSNESS” of our civil rights forefathers like MALCOLM X or HEWEY P. NEWTON, would we even have the freedom to speak on such idiotic nonsense and buffoonery? The Black Man is far more than a “Drug dealer” a “Pimp or Player” a “Thug” a “Coon” or a “Dancing Jiggabo”!!! That is why REAL HIP-HOP is not about that. Today, there are even more and more hard working Black People who go to work every day to provide for their families and are respectable upwardly mobile urban entrepreneurs that are sick and tired of the nonsense and blame REAL HIP-HOP! As an entertainer you put yourself in the position and in the spot light to make a difference! Do you have to be perfect? No. But at least show “some” respect for yourself and your culture!!! Art is art but come on!!! Contrary to what some may lead you to believe, fashion does not automatically make you hip-hop! Just like foolishly going to PRISON, dealing CRACK, KILLING your own kind and PIMPING women does NOT make you Hip-Hop! Because even though you can dress a monkey up... that doesn't make that monkey a man. Just like any boy can lay down and make a baby. But it take’s a MAN to be a FATHER!!!
