To say that these brothers are extraordinary would be an understatement!!! CHUCK D started off as a graphic arts student as well as a college radio DJ at Adelphi University until he meet his “ULTIMATE” partner in “CRIME” the “INCOMPAREABLE” court jester of Hip-Hop None other than(Now) FLAVOR of LOVE STAR… FAAAVOR FLAAAVE!!!*snicker*Snicker*Snicker* When these 4 gentlemen & THE S1W’s entered HIP-HOP the “GOLDEN ERA” Began!!! Aside from PARIS & THE X-CLAN, PUBLIC ENEMY were a world class wrecking crew!!!Nobody knew anything about the Nation of Islam or our sorted history before “PUBLIC ENEMY” because after the civil rites movement in the 60’s and 70’s NEGO’S became complacent.(much like they are now) It would take the meeting of these 4 men & the S1W’s to bring people “up to speed” and that the “Nation of Islam” even “EXISTED” Man…CHUCK D would say it oh so boldly.. Farrakhan’s a prophet and I think you ought to listen to/What he can say to you, what you ought to do…
At this time “NOBODY” and I do mean ”NOBODY” was dropping knowledge like this!!! then PUBLIC ENEMY took it to a whole “notha level” with there next album…

This is where the “PRO-BLACK ERA” or rather the ”GOLDEN ERA” truly began to pick up speed!!! and this is where “ONE” of the “GREATEST” video’s of all time comes into play. I could go on & on about “PUBLIC ENEMIE’S” political accolade’s and there next album “FEAR OF A BLACK PLANET” but I would begin to sound redundant!!! Also As a POLITICAL ACTIVIST …CHUCK .D’s actions spoke “louder” than his “words” any way’s in “volumes“!!! FLAVOR FLAVE till this day is “STILL” considered to be the “ULTIMATE” fricin Hype man!!! But before I go “ANY” deeper…and this get’s out of hand ..Get it ..out of Hand…CALLOUS?? LOL!!!Let us travel back in time to HIP-HOP’s GOLDEN ERA and perhaps one of the most influential Hip-Hop video’s ever made. Can you say "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos"? In my opinion the is Public Enemy personified!
Once again caear johnicvs you are correct!!! "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos" Is Without a shadow of a doubt!!! One of PUBLIC ENEMIES DOPEST & ILLEST track's!!! That & "Welcome to The Terror Dome!!!" Also one of my "personal" all time favorites "Rebel without a pause"!!!and the list goes on & on until the end of time!!! But Because they had so MANY" *CLASSIC'S*!!!I had to only choose one #1.The reason I choose "FIGHT THE POWER!!!" is because #1 it was cross promoted with one of my absolute "Favorite" Movies of all time "Do the right thing" by Legendary Black director Spike Lee. And #2 "FIGHT THE POWER" was the Jump Off!!! No body was actually kickin it..."political" until PUBLIC ENEMY!!!(and talked about America’s sweetheart’s Elvis & John Wayne!!!) LOL!!! But also because we where "well" into the "Golden Era" by the time it was released.
